Isolation Valve Installation
Isolation valve installation gives you reliable control over individual water feeds to taps, toilets and appliances. By fitting new valves, or replacing stiff or leaking ones, you can shut off a single outlet without turning off the whole property, making maintenance simpler and reducing the risk of accidental leaks.
More information
What isolation valve installation covers
Isolation valves are small shut-off valves fitted on the hot and cold supply pipes to a fixture or appliance. The service is designed to leave you with safe, accessible control and a neat, leak-free connection.
- Assessing the existing pipework, access and valve type needed
- Isolating the relevant water supply safely
- Removing failed, seized or leaking valves where required
- Installing new isolation valves with correct fittings and support
- Reconnecting pipework and checking alignment and operation
- Leak testing under pressure and confirming full flow is restored
- Advising on valve location and best practice for future use
When this service is most useful
This is a good fit if you want more control over your plumbing, or you are preparing for other works.
- A tap, toilet or appliance has no local shut-off
- A valve is stuck, dripping, corroded or difficult to turn
- You are fitting a new dishwasher, washing machine, fridge feed or bidet
- You are refurbishing a kitchen or bathroom and want easy future maintenance
- You manage a rental or commercial unit and need quicker isolation for repairs
How the work is carried out
First, the water supply is isolated and any pressure is released to work safely. The pipework is then prepared, the correct valve is fitted for the pipe type and location, and connections are tightened to the right standard. Finally, the system is brought back up to pressure and tested so you can be confident the valve shuts off properly and does not seep.
After installation
You will be shown how to operate the valve and what “open” and “closed” looks like. If access is poor or pipework is in a condition that could affect reliability, you will be advised on practical options before further work is carried out.
