Boiler Installation
Boiler installation replaces an unreliable or inefficient boiler with a new unit that is correctly sized, safely fitted and properly commissioned. It is a planned service designed to improve heating performance, hot water reliability and running costs, with clear communication from survey through to handover.

What boiler installation covers
A boiler installation is more than swapping one appliance for another. The aim is a safe, compliant set-up that works efficiently with your home and your existing heating and hot water system.
Typical work includes:
- Assessing your current system, usage, and the right boiler output for the property
- Advising on suitable boiler types and controls for how you use heating and hot water
- Isolating, removing and disposing of the old boiler (where replacement is agreed)
- Installing the new boiler, flue and condensate route to current requirements
- Connecting to existing pipework, with modifications where needed for safety and performance
- Checking system pressure and integrity, then commissioning the boiler to manufacturer standards
- Balancing and setting up basic controls, thermostat and programmer where applicable
- Completing required safety checks and providing the correct certification and user guidance
When this service is most relevant
- Your boiler is breaking down regularly or parts are becoming hard to source.
- Heating is uneven, hot water is unreliable, or the boiler is struggling to keep up.
- You want improved efficiency and better control over comfort and energy use.
- You are upgrading a property for tenants or refurbishing and need a dependable system.
How the installation is delivered
You will usually start with a site survey to confirm the right specification and any constraints such as flue position, condensate routing, gas supply and available space. A clear scope of works is agreed before any installation day is booked.
Most like-for-like boiler replacements can be completed within a day. Conversions, relocations or system upgrades can take longer, and the timing is confirmed in advance so you can plan around it.
After installation: commissioning, paperwork and handover
Once fitted, the boiler is commissioned and tested so you have confidence it is operating safely and as intended. You are shown how to use the basic controls and what to check if you ever lose pressure or need to reset the appliance.
You will also receive the appropriate documentation for compliance and future servicing, helping protect warranties and making life easier for landlords and homeowners alike.
